What happens if I publish a story?
When you click "publish," it becomes visible to general visitors to the website and searchable on the internet. You may also click "unpublish" if you change your mind.
How do I delete a story?
Click Story Settings on your My Stories page and then click the Delete link.
How can I publish a story?
Log-in; click "My Stories", click "Unpublished Stories", and simply click the "PUBLISH" icon next to the story you wish to publish.
How can I change my name on a story?
Edit your Story and change the name in the Story Title box.
How can I invite someone to tell a story with me?
Click the "Collaborate" button next to the story. A screen will pop up that enables you to email a friend to invite them to join you in telling the story.
How do I edit/change a story that is published?
Click "Unpublish" and then click "Edit"
Can I edit a story someone invites me to tell?
Yes. Start typing in your part of the story and click "Save for Later" or "Publish."
My friend is using this site. How do I find her stories?
You can use the handy "Search" mechanism by searching for her name. Ask your friend what name she is using on the site (it might be different than her "regular" name).
How do I find a place near me using TimeSlips?
Contact us via the contact page.
How do I get trained in TimeSlips?
On the "Train" page you will find all the info you need about our In-Person and Online training options.
Do I need training to use this site?
Nope. You can use this site to read/write/share stories for free without training. If you want to facilitate storytelling groups with people with dementia (or other cognitive disabilities), we strongly encourage you to take our On-Line or In-Person Training. The trainings are fun - you'll enjoy them!
How can I print an image?
Click the "Zoom tool" (magnifying glass icon) on any image and click the "Download Printable Version" link. Open the file in a browser and click your browser's print button.
How can I print a story?
Click "Story Settings" on your "My Stories" page and then click the "Print" link.
Where can I find out about the credits and rights for an image?
Click the "Zoom tool" (magnifying glass icon) on any image and click "Image Credits."
