Out in the Woods
They’re fools for being out there! They don’t know what they are doing. They brought the dog along. Their names are Mr. Big Nose and Mr. Know-it-All. Mister Know-it-All is trying to hang it up. Mr. Big Nose is looking for a hole in his nose but he can’t find it!
It’s kind of cloudy, but a nice day. Not bad at all. It’s a great day and it’s worth living.
They are setting up the tent to go camping. Mister Know-it-All is smiling. He’s sitting on a smile!
Those poor people are starving unless the walnuts fall from the tree. It would be simple to eat them. You could cook them over a fire, but that would spoil them. They could cook brats; it’s easy to do that. Sounds good! What they’ll drink starts with “b”. Beer!
If there are nuts in that woods, there are squirrels. And deer!
There are bugs, too. Sometimes, bees. It makes sense. Sure, why not? There are wood ticks and grasshoppers, too. But no bats; they only come out at night.
There’s a river by them. It makes sense. Almost all do. The ground is damp. It doesn’t look like there are any woodchips there.
They’re wearing flannel shirts and shorts and they’re smiling because they’re happy. Mister Know-it-All is smiling because he’s getting tickled under his arms.
Get the heck out of here and go home!
They’re going to sleep in the tent. (Wink) There’s always time for fun! I think so, or they wouldn’t go. Lord knows!
Then they’ll go back home. We always did. They are going to scream their heads off. Then they’ll go to a swimming pool to wash up, but only if it is clean.
It’s getting cold. But if it is hotter than heck, they it wouldn’t turn cold. If it is a mess, clean it up. They are going to clean the fish in the river. That’s pretty but silly.
The story will end with a smile!
