First Sight Under the Traffic Light
The story begins in Arizona, in the summertime, with two dogs, probably cocker spaniels, named Prince & Daisy (ages 4 & 2), meeting each other for the first time, at a red traffic light. The two dogs are speaking to each other:
“Does your car ever stop, so we can get out?”
One dog asked the other dog:
“Are you free tonight?”
The two dogs are looking each other over. Dogs can not drive, so they had their neighbor do the driving. The drivers are two friends out for a drive to the country and they brought their dogs along to meet each other.
One dog told the other:
“If you go to the vet, don’t let him stick a needle in you!”
The red light turns green but there is concern that if the drivers turn the corner, the dogs will fall out. But the dogs are going to sit down, when the light turns green, and just forget all about everything. When the light turns green, one dog will jump out and follow the other dog, and go to the park and play.
