A Beautiful Story, A Beautiful Song—Wish I Was There!
It’s music. She’s playing a guitar. Her name is Dimitra. She can dance the charleston and she’s a singer. She can play the guitar. It’s a big instrument. She told Doreen that she saw her family last night. She plays by herself and for herself in the bush, to bring the beautiful birds down to hear the music.
It’s midday and she feels hungry and looks hungry. There’s three or four girls. It’s a nice day. She’s used to sitting there. Her family are close by.
She plays happy music, not the blues. She’d rather play her guitar than do other things. She’s happy when people dance. Helen’s mother was really good on the guitar. Afterwards, she’s going to have a rest or go fishing. The water is very close.
She’ll cook the fish and eat it with her mother. Nick wishes he was there. He would bring his violin and play it with her. That girl, she plays her guitar and everyone has a good time. She’ll sing and dance the charleston under the trees. She’s a beautiful girl, playing beautiful music. Everyone comes to listen. She looks comfortable on the seat.
