A Day At The Track
He's the image of the time today because he's in marketing. He make a heavy bet on the horses. He's just got the paper and he's sweating, he's about to read it. Those might be war pictures.
Whole wheat it says in the back. We'll call him Sam.
He might stay at home. Yes ma'ma I'm sure.
I think he will be eating the whole wheat.
A Sales man!
He's reading the racing paper. That's important, sure is. A gambler. On a back porch. He's sitting on a couch, wiping his sweaty face.
Oh no, that's a race track. He's a gambler. yup, he has to be.
I hear horses hooves, It's too hot. Whoa, it's hot!
There haas to be somebody elese around him. That a big couch. He's talking to somebody. I think he's wiping his sweaty face. Yes, that's true.
His wife might be there. He better take her, she's got the money. Could be. I don't know about a family, but he has a wife. He's on a porch.
He doesn't take his hat off for anybody. It's a very hot day. And I agree with that!
He's been somewhere, he's been out at the race track. Maybe he's going home or to a restaurant. Maybe to get a beer! Nothing wrong with that.
It's not my father, he's not lying.
He's gonna have a snack before lunch. He better have a drink pretty soon. If he doesn't he's going to pass out.
Well, his wife came back to see him and he was sweating so bad. His wife was yelling at him for wiping up his brow with a handkerchief. He's fanning himself with paper. I think it looks that way. He's saying "I'm hot". Looks to me like he should have gone to COney Island swimming pool because the water is cold.
He likes his numbers, that's right, he likes his numbers. He won the race that he was betting on so he took his wife home for dinner. I think he went home with his wife. After all she's the one who takes care of him whether he likes it or not.
He did win at the races! I think the History tells that. He's fanning himself because it's hot.
