It’s a crop-duster, spraying for insects in the wheat field. John is the pilot who flies the plane; and Janice is the co-pilot. They’re working for a farmers’ co-op. It’s too early to tell yet if it’s going to be a good season. You can’t see anything growing there, because this is the landing strip we see.
They’re coming in for a landing. It’s time for a refill of insecticide; and besides, John has to go to the bathroom. Then they’ll go back up and do more spraying over the field. They might use the field itself as their “bathroom”. If they did, you would probably smell it! Even when there’s a hundred acres, you can always tell where the “bathroom” is!
After the spraying is all done, they’ll go in for a nice cold beer – or maybe a few!
