Ivez – They’re having a good time
Abner – It’s a grandma and grandson. It’s reflecting that it’s a family reunion. For the reunion, its at a church. It’s a Methodist church.
Ab – It’s in America. It won’t exceed 5 years, but longer than 2.
Dee – It is? They’re nice people and having a good time.
Harold – New Hope Baptist’s Church. It’s a year round occasion. It’s an annual anniversary. Church members are invited to the reunion as shared memories of the year.
Ab- Grandma Adeline and John.
Irez - -It’s a family reunion. John is 25.
Ab- I will cosign that. Grandma is in her early 70s.
Ab – It’s a Christian relationship.
Ab- It’s Summer.
Irez – It looks like he is having a hard time getting her to dance. “That poor boy!”
Harold – Dancing to a waltz. He’s about 30 years old. She’s 80-85.
Harold – His name is David. He’s trying to teach his grandma a modern waltz. His grandma’s name is Rosemary, but everyone calls her Rose. He says “Come on Grandma, you know how to dance, you just won’t up it. You won’t pass on to it.”
Almeta – I love to dance. That’s my thing. I will do what I want to do.
Harold – The kids are trying to find out what pops and grandma are doing. Grandma knows how to waltz.
Harold – Gerald and Jerry
Dee – There might be food here.
Ab- There’s turkey, roast duck, ice cream
Almeta – home-made white bread
Dorothy – potato salad, banana pudding
Harold – meatloaf, apples, sweet potato pie
Valerie – Turkey
Irez – Chocolate Ice Cream
Harold – Its June or July
Irez – lemonade
Harold – Apply juice. The kids and teenagers will drink soda, orange, root beer, or grape.
Harold – The guy behind the guy that’s dancing. He’s a worker taking a break.
Ab – There’s a strawberry drink and/or lemonade
Irez – The group of men are gossiping about the dance.
Almeta – They got it goin’ on.
Dorothy – They’re making jokes about old people. They’re not trying to be mean—just something to giggle about. Some young people are really good to their elders, and others make fun of the way they walk and talk.
Harold – It’s warm and dry.
Irez – I agree
Harold – The group behind them are performers. They are discussing what they will perform and how they are going to perform.
Almeta- That’s a nice looking man.
Irez – Takes place in Mississippi.
Harold – It’s in Arkansas.
Ab – It’s in Texas. Texas city
Ab – They will serve b/t 3 and 6 pm. Then everyone will disperse.
Almeta – Has has big money, he can do whatever he wants to.
