It’s fall. The leaves are starting to turn. There’s green, and some orange and gold. Soon the trees will be bare. It feels cool, especially in the morning. It’s time to get the warm clothes out. It’s very pretty. The air smells fresh and clean. Soon the leaves will fall, be gathered up in a pile, and the kids will jump in them and get dirty.
A father and daughter are out walking in the bush. They’re looking at the flowers. There are chrysanthemums in white, mauve and yellow. They see squirrels busy putting nuts away for the winter, and skunks and chipmunks. The father and daughter have peanuts in their pockets to feed the animals. In the trees there are cardinals and some robins who will soon be flying away. There are also blue jays and woodpeckers. After their walk, father and daughter feel wonderful and happy.
