Atlantic City was a great summer vacation spot in the 1960's.The Steel Pier, Boardwalk and the famous Mr. Peanut.
Teenagers from all over were drawn to the music of the city.Bands from all over would come there to play.
The hot summer air could be quickly cooled off by a dip in the Atlantic Ocean.Families from Philadelphia would come in cars loads ,since it was a very short drive.
Street parties were endless, Especially to Priscilla, who loved to dance. The minute Priscilla's family would arrive from Philly, she'd hop out of the car to find a dance party somewhere. She loved to dance. The summer sun never bothered her.She was in her own little world when she danced. Her family would watch her spin and twist with delight.
The music from the bands traveled thru the air mixing with other bands making a symphony for the summer. Priscilla was never so happy.
She hated the end of summer. It meant back to school and no more dancing in the streets to sounds of Atlantic City.
She returned every summer and still be seen dancing somewhere on the streets of Atlantic City.
