A Musical Fall Day
A lady is standing up. She has a piano. She is getting ready to play. Let’s call her Rosie. I think we should call her Jennifer. I agree, let’s call her Jennifer. Sure! She is putting something in some beautiful things. She is singing a song (resident breaks into singing a song!) She is playing the guitar. She is singing to the flowers. That woman is singing, “O Sole Mio.”
This takes place 40 miles North of NY. This is the fall season. Fall in the Catskills. She does this pretty often but probably more in the summer than the winter. She enjoys this because the summer weather is beautiful. The children can come play. The adults can get together and the teenagers can play. She hopes for and looks forward to playing her guitar. She likes it, to play for people, the song O Sole Mio.
I see lots of black and colors that would give you a headache (resident points to a grey wall.)
The smells are fresh air of the fall and a dry leafy smell. Favorite colors are the yellow and blue. I would hear the music. She could be playing a folk song. She hopes to be a friend. She hopes to get famous. She could be a teacher. She could be playing “Oh Come to Thee!” She is getting to play a song. She is talented. I like those blue jeans and that color blue. (Resident breaks into song again, singing O Sole Mio. He makes up a song, very impressive with a number of verses to the correct tune of O Sole Mio.)
I think she has a family. I think she is single. She is a college student with parents and siblings but no children. She is going to meet with friends. Then they will go to lunch and maybe she will play her music there for them.
