It’s a political gathering. It’s in a park. It’s a church picnic on the grounds. We’re seeing a dessert table. It’s the summer of 1916. No, it’s the summer of 1972. It looks like the early 1950’s. The church is having a bake sale. I think it’s a family reunion. How could anyone such a large family? They’re school teachers. They’re business people. Their names are Alice and Wanda. They look like sisters; Ruth and Esther. They’re good friends. I think they’re twins. They both have the same nose. Their last name is Jackson. They have the same hairdo, and they’re both right-handed. They get along terrifically.
Children are in the picture. There’s one with ice cream. It looks like they’re licking something. It looks like she’s blowing up a balloon. There’s a lot of men with hats. There’s a little girl eating ice cream. Some of the mean look like they’re Amish. It’s one of those years where men used to wear hats. One of those ladies in dipping up soup. One is cutting pie. In the background they’re coming in and greeting each other- shaking hands. What about the lady waiting to be served? She’s there making sure the child doesn’t fall. There’s a little boy trying to get on the table but he can’t.
We hear talking, music, gossip, and bringing up old times. We smell bread, baked goods, pies and food. They’re going to come and eat. They’re going to play games of some kind with the children. There’s a white squirrel in the tree. There’s possibly a white towel in the tree. There’s buildings in the background, must be part of the community building. The food they’re serving tastes delicious.
