All Day Tie: Gave it All (Nice Try/You Win)
Sometime before 1947 in San Jacinto or Houston, TX, two people were racing in the rainy and cold wintertime. During 1947, “I was still in my crib” Mike says. The race was a tie and that’s the best part of life, when they’re both the same. The racer on the left, Roger Banister, was the best athlete. The racer on the right was Boney Maroney. They could be brothers since they wear the same pants. There’s an umpire in the back of them. On the right of the racers are two individuals who are newspaper reporters, grandfathers and doctors. They are next to a bottle of booze. Also, they have a stopwatch to time the race, which is a 100 yd. dash. Roger Banister is giving everything he’s got to cross the line, “a little bitty line and one big boy”.
