They're dancing and getting acquainted and enjoying themselves. He's doing his Grandma a favor and he loves her. They are having fun and she is teaching him how to dance- he could be her son. The Grandma lost her husband. The Grandmas name could be Arthemise and her son looks like a Francois. He's holding her so she won't fall-he's got his hand across her back. They are dancing a waltz- a slow dance-when you get old you have to slow down. They could be at a party or just an evening out- it might be summer. The little boys are watching. But they don't look like little boys-they could be sons or neighbors- you might need to ask them to find out. It looks like there's a drum in the picture but the Grandma is teaching the son to dance-"not likely" says one. The men in the back are on the edge of a stage but the bars are there so they won't fall off.
This is real - just like back on the farm. There are also two little girls watching- watching their big brother Francois dance with the Grandmother. Arthemise's dress might be pink but it's probably white. It's definitely towards evening. There's a vent in the picture so it might be inside -in some little town. Maybe someone got married or it's just a birthday! It could be Arthemise's birthday. Oh and yes the Grandmother has more children- a daughter named Rosinda. Francois is Rosinda's son. It's the end of an evening dinner or birthday party and that's what you call fun!
