This is taking place on a beach in England in the olden days. Her name is Anita. Anita is feeling hot and out of place in that rigout. Everyone else is in costumes. She looks like she is going to a folk dance! Hmm? She looks a bit smug because she knows what she is doing.
She comes from Spain! Ole! She’s in love with the photographer. That’s why she is smiling and posing. She knows what she ‘s up to. “You can do what you like, I know what I’m doing!
We can hear people talking and laughing. Kids laughing and making sand castles, to let the water come in. We would also hear a brass band playing in the local bandstand. She doesn’t have a family. She doesn’t have children beause her waist is too small. But she is very happy. She is self-satisfied. She knows what she’s doing. She is in love. We’ve all been there! She dances for a living. She does Spanish dancing. Ole. We can smell sea water, and there are activities on the coast. There might be a play or a dance on the coast. She belongs to the troupe. Ahhhhh, that’s why she looks different. Anita drams of a love affair with the photographer. We have all been in love, some of us more than others. She wonders if he will ask her to marry him.
The photographer said, “Come into my darkroom.” He was going to develop the picture among other things.
That was the beginning of a wonderful friendship!
