The gift of tolerance and not to see in color. My father always brought us up to treat everyone as equal. Tolerance for all kinds of differences, and not be a bigot for someone who doesn't meet your expectations whether it’s skin color or their socio-economic standing.

I got a gift- a hand-made card - from Margaret for Mother’s Day. It said, “Dearest Margie, wishing my wise-owl mama a happy Mother’s Day.” Isn’t that the best? There’s an owl living at the end of Tophet that I’ve been watching. I also got a card from the young adults next door. They are the kindest kids. That one said, “Happy Mother’s Day, Margie, thank you for your support and kindness, wishing only the best for you and Spike, Love, D, N, B, M and the critters! I just love that, “the critters.”
