South Carolina in the 40's. He is sweating and has no air conditioner.
He's a salesman for cereal, whole wheat and corn flakes, and an auctioneer for big farm equipment and cattle. He looks like he's saying "Sold!"
He's called Big Mouth Mac and isn't a married man, we think, because what wife would have him dressed like that, ha! Probably has a girlfriend in every town. He thinks he's a gift for any woman, Geneva suggests.
Clifford says it looks like "He's done run a mile!" Linda said it must be August. Look at him fan with his newspaper!
We start guessing where he's from....Charleston, Raleigh, across the state line in Columbia? Linda says, no, he wouldn't be in the state capital, but maybe in Mayberry or some small town.
He looks like he may be in a foreign country, based on his newspaper; but, during the 40's,the paper had war stories.
In any case, we know he works for Nabisco! He probably dreams of owning the company. He would also buy a beach house and an aquamarine Buick with white interior.
We can feel the heat and hear birds, kids playing and foot steps of the conductor coming down the aisle, and the unmistakable sound of a train pulling into a station.
And, looky here! His favorite girlfriend, Darlene, comes huffing and puffing down the platform to whisk him away to a home cooked meal!
