The lady in the photo is cute. She looks like she’s about to fly. She a bit earlier than Amelia Earhart, pre-Amelia Earhart. She goes by the name of Blanche Scott and she’s sitting an airplane. A biplane to be exact. She’s trying to fly and lift off. She might be at an airport. She looks like a pilot that knows what she’s doing.
This photo was taken during the 1940s. But she’s not flying into battle, although she does seem to be wearing protective gear on her legs. She could be a risk taker. Luther thinks she looks like a professional flyer. This could be her first time she’s ever going to fly and that can be kind of scary.
When she takes off, she’s not going far. She’ll just fly around a bit up there and then she’ll come right back down. When she’s in the sky it’ll feel nice and breezy and she’ll feel like nothing is holding her down. Once she’s up there, she’ll wonder if she’ll be able to get back down. She enjoys flying and is happy, with those big daring eyes of hers. Her father might’ve taught her how to fly and that could be the family plane. She looks like she loves to do this. Lois said, “I wouldn’t.” Bobby thinks, she’s going to fly because she wants to make sure this is what she wants to do. Her dad is watching over her but let’s her go off on her own because he wants her to believe in herself. The plane will go high but not too high since small planes don’t go that high.
When she looks down from the sky, she can see all of planet earth. She really looks like wants to do this. It’s like getting on a bicycle for the first time. Her dad is probably terrified but he’s mostly proud. He wants to give her a chance. She tells her dad, “I got this.”
