Peter is laying on the floor with his cat Sylvester. They are sleeping or talking. It is hard to tell. They almost look like they are dead. They are are very relaxed, and Peter is whispering to his cat. Sylvester is so big he looks like a pig laying there on his back. Peter just looks dead.
It is hard to hear Peter, but he is talking about what they are going to do today. One thing would be to sleep. Peter would like to sleep all day too, but he has to vacuum and dust and clean the kitchen. He has company coming.
His mom is coming. If his house is dirty she would really give him one. She is coming all the way from Chicago, and Peter lives in Madison. He is studying there. He wants to be a doctor, and is doing his internship there. Peter's girlfriend, Cindy Lou, won't clean the apartment for him. She's a sassy girl.
His mom hasn't met her yet. She probably will this time. Peter's mom is probably going to think that Cindy lou should clean up after him, but cindy Lou thinks it is not her responsibility. Cindy Lou is going to come over and play with Sylvester while Peter cleans.
Sylvester gets kind of rowdy when he plays, and knocks things off the dresser. He breaks the cologne and dumps the shaving cream all over. The whole house smells like cologne. He dug up the flowers in the planter and got dirt all over the floor.
Peter has a canary, too, and Sylvester was chasing him all over the apparment. Cindy Lou is laughing at all his antics. Peter feels ashamed. He doesn't feel like Cindy Lou is being very nice. She should have had more common sense than to get the cat riled up.
Peter has a headache. Cindy Lou is still laughing, but she decides to help clean up Sylvester's mess. They put they canary back in his cage and open all the windows. Then they spray some febreeze. Peter cleans the litter box, and Cindy Lou cleans up the shaving cream.
Cindy Lou replanted the flowers and cleaned up the dirt on the floor. Then she watered the plants. Sylvester was outside on his leash. That was a good plan. It kept him out of trouble. Eventually they brought him back in the house. Then they took a cat nap.
