This little boy's name is Jimmy. Jimmy is a solid name. He is six or seven years old and his dog, Peekaboo, is watching him sneak cookies from the cookie jar. Peekaboo wishes he would share one with him. As hard as Peekaboo tries, he never gets a cookie. Jimmy is being selfish. Afterall, Peekaboo is keeping an eye out for his parents. He will tattle on him if he doesn't share. Jimmy is trying to figure out how he can blame the missing cookies on the dog!
Jimmy is hiding in the hallway. He has done this before and knows it isn't right. His parents might wonder how he reached the cookie jar this time because it was on the third shelf in the cupboard. Maybe the cupboard wasn't latched properly! If he tells a story about the missing cookies, he might get a time out. He is thinking to himself "what can I do now, to get out of this mess?" He is enjoying them, but maybe next time, he should ask first.
He hasn't learned his lesson yet and will be known to everyone as the "Cookie Monster." Maybe he keeps doing it because his parents don't pay enough attention to him. He doesn't have any brothers or sisters and his parents are always watching television.
