Daniel is Lost!
Facilitated by Brianna (an intergenerational group)
This is Daniel, "the kid." He's in the bed and he's sick. He has a doctor's bed at his house. He has a toy, little book, and something to drink. Milk. It makes him feel better. There is a doctor's bag on his bed.
Daniel's mom is at work . She is a teacher. Dad is at work too. He's a baseball player. He has a sister and a brother. His sister is at school. His grandma and grandpa live there too. They are asleep. Snore. Yawn.
Daniel likes to skateboard and jump but he doesn't feel too good. He is sad and mad and happy. He's bored. His toy car would make him happy.
He wants to go to school--the big red school. St. Ann's! He's in kindergarten or 2nd grade.
Daniel has air conditional and a tutor and he is in his bedroom at his house. It's night time. 10 pm. He has a blue pet cat named Whispers who drinks milk. He also has a fish, a dog, a goat, and a goat/dog. Woof! He has a bird with white stripes or it's red, white, and blue.
His sister climbed in his bed. Daniels twirls out of bed. He hurts himself and then he goes for a talk to the zoo. He eats apples. He went to see the giraffes, monkeys, and elephants. He plays and prays. He is lost. Crying! He has to call grandma from his cell phone. Grandma gets out of bed and comes to get him.
This storytelling session was followed by the elders reading "Pete the Cat and the Bed Time Blues" to the children.
