There is a man sitting on the dock of the bay and he is looking at a boat.
It must be cold because the man has a coat.
The man is looking at the boat and behind it is a sand dune.
The man’s name is Austin. Austin Henry George. Austin is dressed up. He had no intent to jump into the water.
Austin had a hard day at the office and he is trying to calm down. The boat is going away from him.
Is he making a major decision? He’s sitting there contemplating. He may be deciding whether he is going to work or not. Maybe he is contemplating retirement.
He might be contemplating travel…..or he may be just looking at the water.
If you were a man sitting on that big cold cleat with a chain wrapped around it, you might think the boat is too small for a big trip.
This is a 30 foot boat. We don’t know why they are launching it. The people on the boat are expert fishermen.
He can hear the seagulls and smell the fish. The man is not there for the boat. He’s not dressed for it. The boat just happens to be there.
He’s a businessman. He owns the boat and the shipping company and he is checking on it on his way home. He has some big boats. Look at the size of that chain!
Then he goes home. His wife cooks dinner for him. But first he stops by the bar. When he got home he took his coat off. He’s returning from somewhere and he’s going to relax. He’s going to have fish for dinner. Fish with tartar sauce. Asparagus and corn. He eats his fish and asparagus and then he takes a nap on the couch.
He was there. He looked at it. He turned away and left.
