My dog’s name is Sadie. She is a fluffy, eight-year-old golden retriever who loves meeting strangers and other dogs.
One of her favorite activities is to hang her head out the car window and let her ears flop in the wind on a warm summer day.
I decided to take her on a car ride to the park one summer evening. As soon as I rolled the window down, she stuck her head out and glanced around. Sadie sniffed the air and looked content and happy.
Soon I pulled up to a red light. I hear Sadie barking out the window. I look behind me and see another golden retriever in the car next to me! Maybe Sadie and the dog will become friends.
Sadie continues barking with her tail wagging. The other dog barks back tail also wagging. Oh, no, the light is going to turn green! I roll down the passenger seat window, lean over my seat, and yell out to the woman in the other car, “I think my dog Sadie has a new friend!” She smiles at me and laughs. “I’m heading to Dean Park to take her for a walk!”, she says. That’s where I’m going to! “I’m heading there too! See you there!”, I reply.
The light turns green and off we go. As I’m driving to the park, I hope that I see her there. Sadie needs more friends to play with and it is very cute to watch her roll around in the grass with other dogs. I can’t wait to find out!
