Doing the Laundry Once a Week: Jimmy Does the Laundry – Lazy Pants!
The young fellow is sleeping in the shopping basket.
His name is Jimmy - he's younger than I am. I'd like to make him feel welcome. Is he 24 or 25? Maybe around 12.
He's by the washing machine. Not sure where he is. He is in someone else's house.
He is waiting for the wash to finish and then he will help to put it away.
He's asleep in the big basket. The other children think it's fantastic.
He's dreaming about the washing machine.
It's not a good idea for him to be sleeping there. He's tired - he needs to go home. Wouldn't want him to get dumped into the washing machine.
He's waiting to do the laundry - after that he wants to go out and have fun.
Who's taking the picture? Lots of people would like to take that picture. It's good that they got that picture.
They will wake Jimmy up by hollering at him - or they might throw cold water on him.
Victor-Victoria! There's the sound of pots and pans! And the sound of something the machine is doing - washing and spinning.
The smells in the air are soap, cooking smells from soup or spaghetti. You add salt, pepper, celery then taste it.
People used to do laundry in the creek - it was cold in winter!! Or they washed clothes in a wringer-washer - rinse-wring-repeat!
When he wakes up, Jimmy will feel good. But somebody ate his soup so he'll be upset. His soup might burn because he fell asleep.
He fell asleep from the vibration and the warm steam - not from gas.
The End
