Alfred and Clementine
There's something wrong here:the woman has good form but the man is holding an arm across him chest with his foil in the other hand and he's ready to lunge.
The lady is already lunging - she's got a longer knife like a sword.
They are taking turns between the other people.
No reason to suppose they know each other at all.
They're in the theatre - you meet the people and you all study together.
They're doing something that's on a stage.
They're getting ready for a performance.
You see a forest behind it - yeah, but that's just a painting, that's a painting that backdrop.
There's another pair and somebody behind the table.
They're holding something but I couldn't tell you what it is, it's small - a bell maybe.
Honestly, you wouldn't think they would kill each other.
They have the form - that must be what you have to follow for this type of thing: they've got a glove to keep them from being pierced by the sharp knife.
They're on a stage downtown.
At a high school.
At Southern Methodist University!
In the back, he's just been making tea - there's something in his hand.
The tea is part of the performance.
It looks like back here there's a flower prize or something, on the floor there's something that looks like flowers.
They perform in the evening - only when necessary.
There's a square there that you see in the old stages where somebody pops up - the people from behind can't figure it out.
It occurred with the building of the stage.
Alfred: fencing, it's his job and he loves his job, I can tell you that right quick!
Forty, fifty, sixty.
There's a pipe or something that's supporting the stage. Maybe it's outside - or maybe it's another picture.
Alfred's obviously showing off: he's hoping that this picture will end up in the newspapers and he will have a job for a month.
Alfred has something else in his hand - he's afraid she's gonna poke him with a knife.
Usually, that's not the way they stand.
Clementine thinks she's a better swordsman than him and she's ready to knock him over with the rubber knife in his chest so he'll never be able to perform the same routine again!
She's looking forward to the opportunity to knock him into next week!
We haven't identified this person in the back: he's the teacher, Max. He's dressed not for that type of thing. The two behind them are gonna demonstrate something with large devices.
Clementine wants stardom.
She wants to pass what she's studying in school.
Look at her pose: her body is ready to pull back at any moment, the angle of her waist and left hand. It looks like he's showing her how it's done, he's more relaxed.
There are two very large salt shakers in that piece of furniture.
They put out the cigarettes that are in the pots on stage.
They are just set dressing.
We only have half the stage.
Next, they pass school!
The salt shakers: he's got something in his hand, she's got something in her hand - it all goes together as part of a banquet or something to celebrate.
