By the storytellers of Havenwood
Somebody's driving a car. Well, and he's also -
I don't see the car: where is it?
He's got a pipe.
It's a man doin'...he's gonna go away because he's gotta pack and he's having his shoe shined and that's the shoeshine boy - he's gonna walk down to get to this place, I dunno if it's a train or it might be a plane.
This one is very relaxed smoking his pipe.
Joe and Micah - Joe is Mr. Jones
They're not friends, he's fixing his shoe.
He sees him on his way to work.
Mr. Jones must be pretty close to where his work is or he wouldn't be smoking a pipe.
He must be traveling - look his bags.
He's a businessman. He's in a relaxed business - he's tryin' to figure out what he's gonna say - "Shut up!"
Maybe he's coming back from a business trip and that's why he's relaxed with his pipe.
He's going to go home - before he was in the city, we'll make it Boston: it's gotta be a big town, it must be a place like the airport.
Micah thinks, "I wonder how much money he has and what I'm gonna get. What's he gonna give me?"
He's a young man, he likes his job: he's curious.
This is springtime, he's doing this to meet people.
He's been shining shoes for some time, 6-7 years.
Right now he's trying to figure out the money he's gonna get.
Mr. Jones probably has a family: grown children, they all live in the Rocky Mountains.
He lives with his wife, Gloria. She misses him when he's away.
Where he is is cold weather: there's a girl walking up the path with a winter coat on.
Mr. Jones doesn't have a winter jacket.
He doesn't look like the kind who would play around too much. He's not very fancily dressed so I don't think they have too much money.
He's got a tie on, a white shirt and a tie.
He's a very relaxed person.
Micah has a younger family - he needs the money.
Those are red bricks: looks like Handel Square in Cambridge, MA. People just act on impulse.
It's gotta be - they're all walking in one place towards a place that they're gonna do something with. It must be a ride: they're all going on the same ride or coming home from a ride.
They're people coming out of the subway.
They all look like they're coming from the same place - coming or going, we can't tell.
Mr. Jones, he's very serious.
He secretly wants to run airplanes.
He'd like to make more money with his business.
Micah, he'd like more money too. He probably has more than he looks like.
I don't think he dreams ahead.
Mr. Jones is trying to figure what this guy thinks he's getting and what he's gonna give him.
We hear traffic sounds, feet, people, and trolley cars.
There's gonna be a concert: there's chairs that are gonna be set up.
Mr. Jones is going home to his wife to get his wife to go to the concert.
This is a subway: people are coming out of the subway.
Micah is waiting for the next customer.
