A little boy is sitting in the corner at his house. His dog is sneaking in, and the boy is sucking his thumb. That’s Amanda’s little boy, and he is putting his cookie in the juice. The little boy stole the Cookie Jar. He found some juice and the dog wants a bite of the cookie, that little sneak Eric and his Cocker Spaniel Fluffy! Eric’s parent’s are in the other room watching television. You know Eric is the only child and he’s having a good time! If he spills his juice on the carpet though, he’s going to blame the dog. Boy is he in trouble. Just look at his face. Now he is looking upstairs, because his mother might come down. His mother is going to take the Cookie Jar away and talk to him. She will say “just don’t do that again” and take a cookie out, taste it and tell him if it was good or not.
I wonder if the little boy was outside on his bike and tore his pants. I think he tipped over on the bike and fell on his knees on the concrete. Even though he fell, Eric did not cry. Eric is really scared and is thinking, “oh mom can fix these jeans”. He may have run into the house and hid though. He is thinking again, but this time he is wondering if his mom could be mad at him for tearing holes in his jeans. Then he thought that the little dog Fluffy might get punished, because of what he did. Finally Eric thought, mom won’t be mad long, she’ll just laugh. Eric will be alright. He might have to retell his story though at the supper table, but he’s going to be just fine.
When he grows up Eric is going to be a baker, or a doctor, or maybe a dog lover. His eyes though look as if he is going to be successful and he is thinking about the future. He is thinking about thanking his mom for not punishing him for stealing the cookie from the Cookie Jar.
