They all sat around the long table sipping cool water and snacking on oatmeal pies, as the two investigators questioned them about what they saw.
One witness said, I saw a man showing off his tennis shoes. He looks crazy looking out of one of his eyes like he’s drunk. I don’t know whether he’s happy or sad. He looks happy, and the center part of his eye is not showing. He has a hairy arm with not much on his hand. He’s scary looking and has hair on his face. I would hate for him to get after me, I’d run. He looks like he’s in something. I don’t know what it is. He’s inside a truck.
The next witness says, I think it’s awful! It’s hard to see what he’s wearing. He’s wearing blue. He’s just ugly and I think he’s a jerk! I just do. He’s medium-not young or old. He doesn’t look like anyone I know.
Another witness said, “I don’t see anything but a few numbers”. There’s a hand, washing and warning. I don’t see anything that turns me on. It’s not much there. It’s not a cut and dry thing, but it’s attractive and people look at it. Scott and David seem to think a lot about it.
The investigators moved over to the common area where a tall silver-haired lady was sitting in a recliner. She starts by telling the investigators that the man looks like he’s trying to get his head straightened out. He got someone to soak up the general. He’s wearing black shoes. Then she says, he’s wearing white shoes. She looks down at her feet, points her toes and says I got some on like this as she looks back at the picture. Next she was asked whether the stranger was male or female. Her response was both of them I imagine. He’s little.
The investigators knock on the door of the final witness for the afternoon. The witness was only able to tell them, there’s a man being goofy.
Several days later the investigators questioned the last cooperative witness. The witness held the picture in her hand while carefully looking it over. She says, he looks bad to me. He’s getting his foot out. I’ve seen some strange things. It looks like he got in there with his shoes. After her statement, the investigators ended their investigation.
