In a great, big park. A family reunion. In the summertime. A big ol' celebration where all the families get together but they're wearing jackets, so it's not too hot. It's cool, up north somewhere.
Is this an anniversary?
A big ol' family on the 4th of July?
They see each other once a year. It takes awhile to get everybody together.
The women are Dorothy and Margaret. They are sisters and THEY decided to get all the families together. They are smiling and they are together. Talking about the kids... "How many do you have?"...and all that stuff that goes with it. They look so much alike they could be twins!
Others talk to each other saying:
"How have you been?"
"What school do you go to?"
"Are you married?"
"How many kids?"
And some might be playing baseball.
The children are running and playing, screaming and hollering, laughing and talking loud. Singing...in Paris...how wonderful it is to be together!
(singing) "We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing."
Very. Great. Fun.
They are serving cake and dessert. They taste very good. They've got some good cakes and pies there.
They have to know how much they need to bring, so they have to call each other..."what do you what to bring?"
Well, that's a lot of chicken!!!
Could be dumplings.
Everybody takes the leftovers home. Before leaving there'll be some hugging, kissing, and crying, and asking each other, "When you do this again, let us know."
"Call me. come see me soon."
"I hope we get to see each other again."
We must stay in touch. We must not lose each other.
