Karl and Joan are shopping on 5th Avenue for their grandchildren; Lori and Julie. They spot some dresses the girls might like for Christmas and stop to take a look. Joan remembers when she wore frilly dresses as a young girl. Karl remembers the way Joan used to look at dances when they first met. Karl and Joan have been married a long time and they are thankful to still be together. There is a lot of noise happening around them due to traffic and being outside. Its windy and cold, but Joan and Karl are enjoying themselves. They are talking about all of their favorite memories and the good times they had and still have. Joan and Karl don't see their grandchildren often. they live out of state and are looking forward to the holidays so they can see them again. Karl offers to buy Joan a dress, but she declines. She is content spoiling her grandchildren and Karl agrees. They continue walking and shopping, enjoying the city and looking forward to seeing their family soon.
