Billy from Philly is a 92 year old veteran.
Billy still has a cap on and it could be an old uniform. He has a cane because he came back from the war wounded. He probably got shot –hit with a bullet.
Billy is walking to the solder’s home which is where he lives.
Or…. maybe Billy is at a festival.
Or… maybe Billy could be in a parade. And still marching on! I like it!! I don’t know if he is marching, Hurrah! Would he march if he was 92?
Time is endless…
You don’t see the rest of it, but he might be in a parade. There isn’t anyone marching with him. You always remember the ones who didn’t make it. He is thinking, “when Johnny comes marching home again.”
I’d say that it is Spring because that is when they have parades.
There’s got to be a connection between the soldier, who may not be a soldier, because he has a shooter on.
I don’t understand it- maybe someone could help me. What’s under his shoes?
Is that mashed potatoes he’s stepping on?
He’s stepping on the sidewalk.
It could be a piece of paper
It is squashed down more because of his weight.
Whatever that is, it has a lot to do with what is happening in the picture.
The way it came out is how it is.
Billy is walking beside the sign of a butterfly.
It’s a butterfly! Tickle, tickle, tickle. I don’t get the idea of the butterfly?!
A butterfly signifies happiness, freedom; they symbolize beauty, they are so pretty
The wall behind Billy says “TOH”
It looks like a city. It could be a hardware store. Or it could be a movie house or bakery.
After the parade, they usually have a picnic.
Billy meets with his friend Linda at the picnic. At the picnic, they ate hot dogs, chicken…fried chicken.
Billy and Linda sit around and talk for a while after the parade. They talk about how the parade went and the friends that aren’t in it. They talk about all the things that happened.
It was a sad time. It would have been a better time if all the soldiers came home.
You didn’t want that knock on your door. There would be three army people. In
my opinion, a story like this doesn’t end.
The woman who opened the door is going to have a new life without her husband.
Could we make a new chapter in her life? She has to learn to live without her husband.
It’s real and it happens.
Billy and Linda thank God that they are alive. The most important thing is that they are thanking God.
I don’t think you can talk yourself out of the things that you have done because you are opening a new can of worms. Chances are you would never have this experience again.
It’s a realistic picture. That’s part of life. You can always fly into the light. You don’t have to stay in the darkness.
Da Ba Da Don Ta Dah!
The End.
