Footy on the Loose
The dog’s had his day. He’s been let loose in a shoe shop. Shoes only come in pairs, so we don’t know where he’ll find two pairs. This could be in England or on the Continent. It’s a hard subject. It looks current. The dog is called Footy. He is causing mischief because he has a shoe on, as if to say “look at me!” “I can try shoes on too, it doesn’t matter if I put tow feet in one shoe, or 3 feet in one shoe.”
He’s looking out for approval. He’s not getting it. “I will stir them up some other way.” He will run off with a pair or an odd one.
Another dog coming down the street has caught his attention. He is listening to someone shouting “well look at that dog!” We can hear traffic, people talking, an odd dog bark. The person who took the picture is there and perhaps the dog’s owner. He will be made to put the shoe down, or get off the shoe and go home to his master.
He’s a nice little dog. He is well looked after. His master is some responsible person. He’s not just any old dog.
It looks as though he’s asking permission to do something, to tear down this street and go home the other way. He has a good feed, crawls into his own little kennel and goes to sleep.
