Elizabeth is proud and celebrating life after surviving hurricane Bill. She is a fortune teller who is waiting for a ride back to her hometown of New Orleans so she can partake in 2015's Mardi-Gras celebration. Unfortunately, her ride does not show up and she is forced to resort to panhandling to come up with some money for a bus ticket back home. Its September and she collects enough money for her ticket after she spends the whole weekend begging.
Elizabeth gets home and discovers that her house is unscathed, while some neighbors aren't so lucky. Her neighbor Tom's house is completely destroyed and he is unable to locate his 20 pet cats. Elizabeth offers assistance but Tom is too sad to speak. She begins to offer assistance and she is unable to find any of her other neighbors.
Over the next few months, Elizabeth starts working in the area again and she continues to bank her money. Eventually she raises $10000 and gives it to the local hurricane donation fund for the victims of hurricane Bill. Elizabeth receives an award for her help and has the opportunity to meet the president. I
