Ethel and Bess were the best of friends. They had grown up right down the street from one another. All of the grade school teachers at their local elementary school knew that Ethel and Bess were inseparable... and it had been that way ever since. Ethel had always added the sparkle to Bess' more conservative lifestyle. It was Ethel who had decided that the two should head to the casino for a "girl's weekend." Ethel had been losing money all night. From slots to the tables, the money was flying out of her hands. To everyone's surprise, it was the quiet Bess that was taking all the cash. She had come to life! At one point, Bess even led the growing crowd that had come to watch the spectacle in a rousing version of "Yankee Doodle." It was quite a night for the gambling duo and one that everyone who was in attendance would never forget.
