They are quarreling
They are having a fight, those 4 boys
On the sand, on the beach, in their playground
One of them has a big black dot
It happened at school, or the mental hospital
They are boys playing with sand
Or doing Boxing
He has got a big fist
They are David & Albert or George & Anthony
Or Anthony & Keith, Daniel & Mark
Or Cassius & Clay
(What was his other name ?)
They are 7 and 4 years old.
Don’t think they’re at school as no one is wearing a uniform
The one on the right wins
(What will they be when they grow up?)
One becomes a Printer
He used to do activities here, but not anymore as he is busy
The Printing Press is called Abbey
One could become a footballer or a boxer
Or a doctor, or even a carer!
He might grow up to be a teacher
Or even a clerk, though Margaret doesn’t think so.
Josephine ‘It reminds me of the story of David & Goliath’.
The weather is good
Otherwise they wouldn’t be playing outside
It’s definitely Summer on the sand
Or it could be a field
They are certainly boys.
What happened before was the boy in the background came about
They were friends before
I think it was too disgusting to mention
But (Pat) feels they now have a wall for security
As they have been quarrelling together.
It looks like a brick wall.
It’s a boundary wall, for sure.
I’m still adamant it’s a brick wall.
The boy in the background is growing larger
Or picking up something.
The other boy is protecting his chest.
They are barefoot. Oh Yes !
They all finally went home fighting, or arguing rather.
It could have been just a game.
It didn’t look like a game to me!
