Zelda and Zulu were bored and decided to head out on an adventure together. They had no idea where to go, so they just started to walk, hand in hand, following the scent of excitement.
At least that was their plan. At first they thought there was excitement in the air, but it turned out they were just smelling their own adrenalin, the excitement of taking that first step away from home. When they actually started out and sniffed again, sniffing as hard as they could, they could smell no excitement in the air at all.
They were stuck. They had no way to decide which way to go. They stood there in silence, unwilling to admit that their adventure had ended before it started.
They listened for a sound, any signal that could lead them from their motionless state to a destination beyond. But they heard nothing.
They sniffed for a scent, any scent, that might lure them away from their stuckness and toward a new day.
