“Going Somewhere”
It's a baby. Peg heard of delivering babies, but not this way! We think it's boy. It is going places, but we don't know where.
He was put in a bag to keep him out of trouble, says Delores. He probably screamed a lot. The babysitter put him in there. I think so too, says Jean.
Jean wonders, "How did we do that?" Doris says everyone loves him. He is my baby.
He looks suspicious. Jean would like to know what he is thinking. Looks like mischief to Peg. "He's thinking, "Are you going to leave me in here."
He's darling says Doris. I think his name is Pete. He has itty bitty legs from what he looks like in the bag. He has two or three teeth, so maybe he's about one year old. He lives down the street, says Delores. Pete is saying, "Take me for a ride."
He's a little on the bald side. Well, what do you expect, says Jean. He's got big little hands.
Maybe he thinks he's going to take a bath. He's looking for a rubber ducky. He sure looks like he's up to something. Maybe his brothers and sisters are making him laugh says Jean. Maybe they're pulling him around in a basket.
