Helping Our Neighbors (with Carol using another picture)
Facilitated By Jenny Cowell
May 14, 2013
This is a picture of people in the service in World War II fighting the Germans. It is in England. Charlie and Max are from the states. They are 25 and 28yrs old. Jenny is coming around from the Red Cross or the USO. She is kind she had donuts and coffe and sugar and milk on her tray. She is a 24 yrs old English girl.
Charlie and Max are far from home. One of them is writing a letter back home telling family that he arrived alright. One is wearing a hat and a motorcycle rider helping guard or protect England. They have been there for quite awhile, they have all these bags. They are certainly gonna work and will be staying for some time. They will have to move out.
They appreciate the girl coming around. This girl is a worker too. They know it is their duty to go and protect. They are thankful for the kindness. They are in a strange place, far from home. People are wishing them well for helping them protect their England. Back home there's family. That's how it was. In the back they could hear big guns, everyone is using kind voices, asking where they are from or if they have children. On the radio the song, "I'm looking over a four leaf clover" is playing.
