Impatience
“Ooooo,” says Claire.
Roberta says: “I’m going to have this one … she’s a nice little thing.”
She’s taking the bag for a walk and her name is Alice. But Elsie and Ellen think it’s actually a little boy, not a girl! “She’s even dressed like a boy,” exclaims Ellen, with a smile. Pam points out that boys and girls often dress the same these days.
Alice has told her mother that she’s going for a walk and she might do some shopping. She doesn’t like where her mother is. Maybe the mother is sitting down talking. “Yap, yap!”
Alice looks happy. Eileen thinks she looks like she’s about three years old. Peggy notices that there are people in the background. “Yes, you can see their heads,” says Ellen.
Lance thinks it is taking place in autumn. “Looks like she wants to go to bingo,” says Eileen!
John thinks that the little one (girl, boy, or whatever it is!) went to get the bag. They’d forgotten the bag and Alice had to turn back to pick up the bag. It was actually the mother who left the bag. Maria thinks the bag might be full of money! She wants us to come together to take the money!
After Alice gets the bag she will go and find her mum. Once she gets the bag the beautiful little girl will be happy playing.
There is still a debate over whether Alice is a girl or a boy! Ellen, John and Lance think Alice is a boy. “Alice is half and half,” says Maria. Pam suggests we would have to pull down the pants to know for sure!
“Poor thing—no pants,” says Maria!
