Her name is Joy. She is at the beach. Noon, maybe 1920. She is relaxing, having fun. She hasn't been swimming yet. She's wondering if she is going to. She left her picnic lunch at home. Joy is usually resourceful. She dots her I's and crosses her T's and can't understand for the life of her why she'd gone off and left her picnic basket. She's the youngest of three girls. They get along pretty good. Except they're a little "jealous" of her because she's the favorite in the family. They are not with her. Joy is supposed to meet some friends at the beach. When she is not at the beach, she spends her time with a lot of her school friends. In the good ole summertime! Sea air! She hears children and adults laughing talking and enjoying themselves. This makes her feel exuberant! She's always dreamed of becoming a writer and now she writes short stories for her family and they act them out.
