He is a kind of bossy directory. He looks like he is in charge. At least he thinks he is. His name is Jerry and he is in a classroom. He is teaching those little imps. He teaches how to paint a face because it is close to Halloween. He is trying to quiet everybody down and get them to listen to him. It is quiet already.
The little imps are three to five years old. The five year olds are twins. Jerry is kind of a jerk. I felt like I was a jerk, too. Jerry puts his hands on his hips and tells them to be quiet. The imps say: “Booooo!” Then, the kids are going to say: “Quiet. Settle down!” because the kids are smart. Jerry looks like a clown and like a mother saying: “One more time kids and you’ve had it. I’m blowing this popsicle stand!” He needs to make them laugh. He will take his hat off and say something funny. But the kids don’t think it is funny. Suddenly, he takes his hat off and throws it into the ring. Everybody tries to catch it. But it falls into the stream and goes floating away. They go with it and try to retrieve it. Unfortunately, the hats are sunk in the water. Everyone gets wet and has fun. Splashing! Throwing water at each other and having a good time.
Then, Jerry has to make a decision. Should this be a positive decision or a negative one? The problem is that five years-old cannot vote. However, they can express a vote by the expression on their face and body language. If this is a liberal school let them have a good time. You are all young once.
One of the moms saw them and she said: “Don’t forget! Mum or dad will be home in an hour.” Since it is a conservative school something positive by way of learning has to come off this experience. “So what did you learn?” the teacher asked. Jerry answered: “When I signed up for this job this was not what I expected. This is crazy and I’m out of here!” The kids say: “But we are having such a good time. We could have a contest to see who looks best in the hat.” It turns out to be Jerry. They are all going to retrieve their hats and go home. They’ve had fun so they are parading home and splash in the stream. Maybe Jerry didn’t turn out to be such a bad guy after all. It’s a fairytale. They lived happily ever after.
