Lean In Closer
Possible titles: "Another Beautiful Day," and "Lean in Closer"
-This reminds us of one of our fellow residents, and her friend.
-They are in love.
-It looks like they're sitting on a park bench in a city. There are big buildings around, with some windows and bright lights, like sky-scrapers.
-They could just be sitting on the corner, watching all the girls go by, or just watching all the traffic drive by since it's a big busy city.
-Bud thinks this is Chicago, and they're sitting looking at the L and all the advertisements that you can see by the L.
-Ellee thought it might be Time's Square.
-But, they may also be in the audience for something. We can see another person sitting to their left--maybe they're waiting to watch something.
-They could be learning something--maybe they're going to watch a lecture or a performance.
-The gentleman looks very familiar--like maybe we've seen him before, around here. He looks like a neighbor, who used to ride on a tractor at the local fair.
-Or, they also look like people we're related to! Lloyd and Lois, Lu's brother and sister!
-We think maybe he's getting ready to tell a story. And this is his wife next to him, and she's waiting for him to tell his story. She's leaning close to him so that she can hear what he is going to say.
-They're dressed nicely. She's got a pretty shirt on, that's decorated with flowers. His shirt is checkered.
-If we gave them names, we might call them Liz and Merl, since they remind us of people we know.
-Or, we might call them Susie and Mark. Those are names of our children.
-Maybe they're talking about their relatives--their children and grandchildren.
-But, they might no be in a city either!
-They could also be riding along in the cab of a tractor, like at a fair.
-There are a lot of signs around, but it's difficult to decide what they say or what they are advertising.
-There are lots of lights on, so we think this takes place at night.
-Maybe the woman is tired, and leaning over on her husband's shoulder. She's leaning over.
-If they leave here, maybe they'll go window shopping. Maybe they'll go shopping for rings--engagement rings!
-But maybe they're in a restaurant, trying to decide what to eat. There could be a window, and they can see all those signs and lights through the window.
-If this is breakfast, they're definitely going to have pancakes and eggs. With some hashbrowns too.
-They could also be on a train, but the seats they're sitting on don't really look like the seats on a train.
-Could be our parents, some 80 years ago. It's a familiar scene.
