The boys are fist-fighting in a schoolyard. They look serious. He's going to fight. There fists are up! Even though they are fighting but still smiling. There names are Jerry and George. This is the age that children like to challenge one another. George and Jerry are just playing. They are almost breaking out in laughter. There are six boys here. The other four lost out on the fight. It is recess on the school ground. The one boy in the middle is getting ready to interfere. He might be going to break up the fight or to egg them on. He road his horse to school. He fell off once, but got back on. If they get caught they will get a lickin' if they get caught. There are shadows, they might be trees and fence posts. Jerry and George know each other from school and from Sunday school. They are bare footed because they threw their shoes away. They are going to get in trouble if they get caught. But their mothers will walk with them through this situation. The other boys are watching. It's time to go home. They look a little timid to fight. The boy in the middle is counting and encouraging them on. They were all running around. In the end, no one wins. They are friends.
