Charles and his father were downtown St. Louis playing the violin. In early April it was still chilly outside, so Charles wore a jacket. He was playing so well, he drew a crowd of people. We can smell the tasty aromas of vegetable soup, sweet smell of coffee cakes and fresh baked bread. We can hear the crowd gathering, horses trotting and children cheering. They want to make people smile while collecting a small donation. After they finish their last song the crowd cheer loudly and Charles and his father take a bow.
