The older man is a football player; he is strong. He doesn’t play football any more than I do. He must be the boy’s father and he is not well known. Maybe they are brothers or maybe the child is his daughter. Everyone agrees they look alike, especially their hair color.
The older man, Sergeant York, and the younger boy, Alfred are singing. They are going to have a good time; they will do this and that and this and that. They are out in the country singing for the joy of it—maybe “Holy, Holy, Holy." See the older man is holding a prayer book or maybe it is a chocolate popsicle . We hear them singing, “Do, do, do, DO, do, do, do, DAH."
