This car belongs to my husband. My son has a 85' classic Tornado and it looks like this car. My husband is driving this car. It could be any place, maybe California or Washington, or maybe a parking lot. It’s a 1959; maybe it’s a Cadillac and not an Oldsmobile. This car may be for sale. There are people watching. There’s nobody in the car or maybe they are taking a nap. If they are taking a nap they better not be driving!
They are visiting the ocean to meet some friends. Maybe if no one is in the car, a ghost is driving! There are three children in the back seat. They climbed in because the backseat was empty. They are in Pt Townsend or Pt Angeles, or on the way to the ocean. It’s a beautiful, nice, balmy day, a typical day for Pt Townsend or Pt Angeles. Our weather is pretty steady. It looks like it’s going to rain. It looks like it’s going to stay the same for the rest of the day. It looks like the perfect day. I wish I was there! Look at that blue sky. The clouds look like cotton. Endless summer.
Hey, there’s a dog in there! Look at that face in the windshield! Someone hears birds in the trees. If someone hears blackbirds there must be crows too. Someone sees a cloud reflected in the window. These people are a long way from home. Their license plate says Ohio! They are visiting. They are looking for perfect weather. The drivers of the car are headed someplace else, a new destination.
