It’s romance! Penguins have only one mate for life. They are holding each other’s flippers. They love each other. Love is magic. They are waiting till nightfall. Maybe they have a nest somewhere and maybe tomorrow there will be little ones. They will get to wherever they are going if they want do but maybe they don’t want to. They could be 2 boys, 2 girls, 2 friends or 2 lovers. We can hear them getting acquainted. We also hear their “caw-caw” sound. Since they are holding hands or flippers we think it’s a boy and a girl. They are feeling affectionate. I think they are going to make love at any moment. I can read their minds!
I think they are saying, “How long are they going to make us sit on this ice before we can go swimming?” They daydream about catching fish. They are waiting. The sun is going down. Aren’t they cute? They are a male and a female. They might have a family already. No, not yet but probably soon! We think they could be named-Romeo & Juliet, Frankie & Johnny, Suzy & Peter, or Leslie & Clyde.
If they are going to catch fish, then it smells like fish there! We see water, water, everywhere without a drop to drink! It’s a small deserted island and they are alone. Maybe they are waiting for a boat. They are a couple steps ahead in the water, swimming or getting on a boat. I wish I was there!
