Visit to the sea-side said Bob
Lovers view said Faye (everyone agrees)
They’re not going anywhere, they’re just admiring the view, said Bob
They’re lovers and they don’t want to do anything except hold each other, said Kay
They’re looking out for traffic, said Andrew, they think that they have to wait until it’s safe to cross
They’re at the beach, said Louise. Lovers always want to look at the ocean
The ocean is a long way out, said Andrew, it looks quite stony
They’re waiting for their kids suggested Kay
They can’t have kids if they’re lovers, said Andrew.
(complicated discussion follows)
So they’re lovers who have kids, said Kay and they are waiting for them to come home
They’ve been to the pictures, said Bob (the kids)
They went to see that boat picture, said Andrew.
‘Titanic’ said Faye - they went to see Titanic
They look like they’re looking for something, said Andrew, and I think that they’re looking out for traffic
Their kids are swimming home, said Bob, penguins are always good swimmers
They’re good at fishing, said Faye. They’re waiting for their kids who are out fishing
The kids are late, said Kay, kids are always late.
Mum looks worried, said Louise. Mothers always worry about their kids.
They could swim out to look for them, said Andrew.
Penguins are good swimmers, said Bob, but that water looks like it’s a long way away
They could get run over by the traffic, said Andrew, people in suits always get run over
(Another discussion ensues about suits and traffic)
They’re calling out, said Kay, calling out to the kids
They sound worried said Louise,
They honk, said Bob, penguins honk
That’s the traffic said Andrew, traffic honks
I can hear the ocean said Faye.
Honking and waves, said Andrew.
The beach looks clean, so I think that the only smell is the ocean smell, said Faye and they’re lovers so they chose a nice place
The kids are only paying on the beach, said Louise, they’re just playing and not lost or at the pictures.
They’re playing after the pictures, said Kay
They’ve all had a lovely day at the beach and now its time to go home. Adds, Faye
They’re waiting for the kids to come back so they can all go home, said Louise
