His name is Jim; he is about 60 or 70. He has it together-he looks good. His girlfriend keeps him together. They’ve been together 4 years.
It’s 1955. They live near New York or Florida. Near the beach and it is good weather. It’s summer.
He’s just hanging out at the beach. He likes going fishing. He is wishing he was on that boat. The group left before he did. They left because he was stalling around taking his time. They got tired of waiting. There’s 4 to 6 of them on the boat. Their names are Joe, James, Bill, Henry, Al and Sylvester. They are in their 50’s or 60’s. They’ve known Jim for 4 to 5 years. They were in WWII together. They’d get together and talk every now and then.
He’s retired. He worked in a factory. He worked in a children’s clothes factory. He had 3 kids of his own. Richard, John and Barbara. They are all living. 10, 7 and 8. They are children he had with his ex-wife. Ex-wife’s name is Bernadine. They got divorced over money. He didn’t give her as much money as she thought she deserved. He will take the kids swimming after he gets picked up.
