Mickey’s Cookie Time is Any Time
Patricia has a son that will be 7 years old on September 8th, 1941, which is only 3 more days away. To celebrate, mom decides that she will be baking a fresh batch of cookies.
Mom leaves the room after she tells Mickey that the cookies are for later. She instructs Mickey to do what she asks, and to behave. Mickey tries to listen and follow mom's rules, but temptation is just too great.
Mickey snatches up the chocolate bowl and cookie jar, and runs to his favorite hiding place in his room The family dog named Skippy follows Mickey into his bedroom, which in turn catches the eye of mom. Patricia decides that she is going to investigate why the dog is so interested in following Mickey.
Patricia peaks into the room and she sees Mickey eating a cookie, and licking his fingers clean. Mickey is in so much trouble, he has no idea yet!
"BAD BOY! You'll get NO MORE cookies!" mom yelled.
She snatched the cookie tin and chocolate filled bowl right out of Mickey's hands, and stormed off to the kitchen. Patricia washed some dishes, then took the remaining cookies, and chocolate, and placed them in a secret spot within the kitchen.
"You need to obey your mother. You are going to ruin your appetite for dinner!" Patricia snapped.
"I'm sorry mommy. I won't do it again. I didn't really mean to, but I was so hungry!"
"Next time you are hungry, come tell me. I will make you something to eat!"
Mickey hesitated, then replied, "I will mommy." Mickey smiled and nodded to indicate that he understood her
