She saw it first, a scorpion. It was there in plain, glistening black sight, yet no one else seemed to notice it. They are very dangerous, scorpions. Without thinking she went and squashed that nasty thing, even though she wore brand new shoes. Peggy was always thinking of others, always.
Of course she couldn't alarm the crowd, they were here to here the town band...Peggy had an idea;an inspiration. Peggy began to shimmy like she hadn't done in years. The band caught on, they went with it; switching to a 1940's swing tune from the oom-pah-pah beat they had been booming out.
The crowd roared approval as Peggy slid the remains of the squashed danger off of the floor, avoiding any contact. Well, Peggy knew she was a hero that day.
